Raffle Anyone?

This is my third layout with the SCRAPTASTIC July kit 'SUMMER NIGHTS'...

Pretty minimalistic for me, but I'm loving that background CS by AMERICAN CRAFTS in 'shrimp' it is the most delightful salmon colour!  I seem to take a lot of photos of empty plates - probably because (being the greedy bugger I am), I don't interrupt my eating in order to snap the yummies! Food before camera!

SHARING... is caring

Some sharing...

Weeks 11 & 12 of project life...

Week 11 - page 1

Week 11 - page 2

Week 12 - page 1

Week 12 - page 2

I am still loving PROJECT LIFE, although I do forget to take my camera EVERYWHERE I go, so a lot of my photos are taken with my mobile phone (thank goodness it has a decent camera!).

I'm getting more relaxed with PL and mixing cards and manufacturers (and not stressing because it's not all perfect)!  So I'm enjoying it even more!

Week 11 (page 1) was fairly minimal, using mostly the JADE EDITION, on page 2, I also used a card from the 'MISC ME!' collection by BO BUNNY called 'Happy Tails -CAT' because I wanted to journal about my cat.

For Week 12 I used mostly the HONEY EDITION along with some more 'cat' cards.  I'm also still doing a 'week in review' card.

Now for some scrapbooking...

I've now broken into my latest SCRAPTASTIC (July 2014) kit... 'SUMMER NIGHTS', it is a lovely collection of summer themed papers and embellies, with some GREAT colours and patterns.  So my first and second layouts look like this...

SIMPLE STORIES - 'GOOD DAY SUNSHINE' collection - (floral) 'shades of summer'

EMBELLIES -

The clouds were stamped using the 'worth wondering' (April 2014) stamp set from SCRAPTATIC and inked using STAMPIN' UP 'old olive'.  The alphabet stickers were from SIMPLE STORIES - 'GOOD DAY SUNSHINE' collection - expressions sticker sheet.

Now I really must go and do some work!

The Everlasting Case of June's Murder

Yes, I've 'killed' my June SCRAPTASTIC kit!

And VERY happy I am about it too.  I loved the 'Best Of My Life' kit, but the last layout was hard work!

So the June kit (plus add-on) produced 11 layouts in total with the addition of 3 cards...

Numbers Ten and Eleven...

Number 10 - this was inspired by all those manufacturing strips on the bottom (or top) of 12x12 papers, I really wanted to find a use for them...

Number Eleven - not too keen on this, but hey ho, it is what it is!

And now the left-overs...

Very little papers left, only a few scraps
Only 2 CRATE PAPER 'Oh Darling' Bows
1 FRECKLED FAWN 'Love' paper clip
1 'Bow' cut-apart

Some CRATE PAPER 'Oh Darling' vellum shapes
Some HEIDI SWAPP 'Dreamy' ephemera

Very Little left of the HEIDI SWAPP Aqua glitter alphas

Very few of the ECHO PARK 'Capture Life' alpha stickers

And very few of the ECHO PARK 'Capture Life' element stickers

On the whole I'm fairly pleased with the 'murder' of this kit... I did finish it off with a couple of cards...

So, it's on to the July kit 'Summer Nights'...

More Project Life...

Week 10...

I knew I wanted to use mostly black and yellow for my cards this week (mostly from the Becky Higgins Project Life - 'midnight' edition).  I've used buttons, wood veneers, washi tape, label stickers, sequins and resin flowers for my embellishments this week.  For me, I've found that its easier to just have a 'loose idea of colours, then to place your photos in first.   After that I just take one card at a time and embellish/journal away!  The title card is made using my CRICUT Imagine, and this week I decided to include a 'review' card explaining the week.

My project life is a 'work-in-progress' so its developing all the time.  The rest of my family are already pulling it out occasionally to have a look at old memories!  This is what it's all about, after all!

Both weeks were fairly quiet and so I only did a single spread for each...

Gangsta Girls

Hi y'all...

So this is my ninth layout with my June SCRAPTASTIC KIT (and a card, also made from the kit), I am trying my hardest to kill this kit as my July kit has just been delivered by my over-worked postman (gotta love that guy!)...

Still loving the 'card-in-a-box' style

Ta-da!

My daughter and her friend messing about with the camera, this was taken in 2007, it would now be called a 'selfie'!

I haven't shown you any of my PROJECT LIFE lately, I really will get around to posting some more of my pocket pages... apologies.  I've been pretty busy lately and oddly enough the busier I am the less there is to go into my project life!  I think this is because I still haven't gotten into the habit of whipping out my camera (or phone) at the drop of a hat!  Especially when everyone makes that groaning noise when I point and click!

I've also (at last) been having various medical tests to determine the cause of my lack of mobility.  I've gotta say the 'lumbar puncture' was NOTHING compared to the 'nerve conduction studies'!  Having needles stuck in you (especially through your chin and tongue) is NOT my idea of fun, especially when you are then jolted with electricity!  At least with the lumbar puncture you were given some anaesthetic!!!  Still no good moaning it... it's now in the past!

I shall definitely post some pictures of my pocket pages ASAP.  Happy crafting :-)
