Sympathic Wrapping

Hi Everyone, my daughter has disappeared again, so I'm all yours!

 

It has been lovely to have a visit from my beautiful (don't know where she gets her looks from, its certainly not me and not her father either!) daughter, she's now gone - travelled far far away, back to her life and back to work, so here I am.  Do I miss her already? Am I lonely? Yes/No.

 

I realised that I really don't want my life disrupted, at all! I've turned into a grumpy old woman!!! I mean its great to see people, but they do interfere with what I want to do, namely craft!  I suppose this is why 'crops' are so popular.. 'cause then you see people who want exactly the same thing as you... to craft uninterrupted!  And your children (no matter what their ages) still expect you to do things for them!  Still, I haven't eaten so well in ages (take-aways and roasts), and I can't remember the last time I went out shopping (although my daughter did manage to lighten MY purse considerably).

 

My sister's husband's mother (there's a mouthful) had been unwell for some time, she always liked the 'sauce' a little too much and very tragically passed away recently.  Tragic? Yes indeed, apart from being far too young to die, she had an addictive personality, which try as her family might, just couldn't be overcome.  Unfortunately her time was up, and now (if you are a believer) she has moved onto a better place and is no longer suffering.  I didn't know her well and so, do not feel it is right to 'gush' about her, but those left behind will greatly miss her and at least she is now, at peace.

Having made a sympathy card for my sister's husband's sister... I realised my stash of sympathy cards was non-existent, and so I thought I'd rectify this by making just such a card.  I opted for simple (very simple).  A card blank/a piece of HOT OF THE PRESS 'Colour Me' 'flourish' and 'labels' paper/a doilie/a rose embellishment/a peel-off sentiment...DONE...

I also had my first 'Scraptastic' kit delivered this week and so decided to give it a go...

 

I used the 'Let Me Go' kit with just an added doily (coloured with a promarkers), and the stamp set from 'Scraptastic' from the 'Worth Wondering' collection.
